Michael Hsu Rosen is well-known for his portrayals of Nabil in ‘Tiny Attractive Things’ and Jayden in ‘Pretty Smart’. Not to mention, he is currently starring as Ben in Netflix’s new super homosexual show ‘Glamorous’.
Rosen was born and raised in the Upper West Side of New York City, where he attended the Ethical Culture Fieldston School and the Professional Children’s Educational facility. For nine years, he also trained at the School of American Ballet.
On top of that, the actor was enrolled at Yale University, but eventually decided to withdraw to pursue a full-time career in acting. Rosen performed with the New York City Ballet while he was still in school.
At the age of 17, he made his Broadway debut in the 2009 revival of West Side Story. Thereafter, the player appeared in more Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, as well as a number of films and television shows.

After dramatic stints on Broadway and prestige television, Michael Hsu Rosen is relishing the chance to celebrate silliness with his new series role.
The thespian stars alongside Emily Osment and Gregg Sulkin in “Pretty Smart,” which debuted on Netflix this month. The 10-episode comedy follows Chelsea (played by Osment), a East Coast intellectual and aspiring author who relocates to California and moves in with her once-estranged sister, Claire (Olivia Macklin), and an eccentric trio of Angelenos for what she thinks will be a brief reside.
In true sitcom fashion, Chelsea’s living situation becomes everlasting after her boyfriend/girlfriend breaks up with her over the phone. This unexpected turn of events forces her to reconnect with Claire and, over period, let her guard down around her new roommates, each of whom embodies a West Coast archetype: social media influencer Jayden (Rosen), lawyer-turned-healer Solana (Cinthya Carmona) and hunky fitness trainer Grant (Sulkin).
