First, just to acquire it out there, I’m very pro-LGBTQ rights, and anyone should be free to be what they want sexually so lengthy as it doesn’t wound someone else.
Second, I protect about who is lgbtq+ only as a matter of curiosity; e.g., if people say someone is gay, I might wonder, Oh, is that really true?
So… it would never have crossed my consciousness that Clooney is same-sex attracted. I hadn’t thought much about it. But my gay Pilates teacher not only thinks so but was telling the whole class his theory about how he is queer and the studio has him marry beards and whatnot. He was quite insistent that it was so! I also asked my gay friend on FB with whom I talk just about every day what he consideration, and he agreed that Clooney was gay, though he couldn’t cite an exact reason.
I also happened upon a theory that Jay Z is homosexual and Bey is his beard. I was just looking up his status as a rapper (good or bad), and this theory was all over the place.
So do are beards really still a thing in 2016?

Okay, I didn't immediately take ENQUIRER articles editor Steve Herz seriously when he said I was headed to Miami Beach because George Clooney is shacked up with his male hairdresser.
Herz explained that the tip had been phoned in by a pretty solid source. A realist, however, Herz doubted the information but his bosses wanted it checked out.
So off I drove from the magazine's headquarters in Lantana, Fl., down I-95 to always-happening South Beach and the very posh Delano hotel, where Clooney was residing.
He was in town shooting scenes for the 1998 film "Out of Sight," co-starring Jennifer Lopez. Lgbtq+ rumors always surrounded Clooney. I idea they were beautiful ridiculous. The guy obviously liked women. He always had a babe on his arm in those days before he got married..
The Delano is one of those ultra-chic haunts of the very rich and famous. Its personal ocean beachfront is just steps away from the hotel. Whimsical art-deco styling is everywhere -- giant chess pieces on a patch of grass, a pool designed at one end with a set of steps that gave the illusion you were walking on water and room wall mounts that held a valid apple. In the January 2014 issue of Esquire U.K., 52-year-old Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney addresses accusations that he’s a closeted homosexual. It all started, he told the magazine, when he responded to a headline that read, “George Clooney is Gay-Gay-Gay.” His response? “I’m gay-gay, the third one’s pushing it.”
Fire was added to the speculation in 2011, when ex-girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis told People that she and Clooney had a “father-daughter” partnership, saying that their relationship ended because of their “personal needs.” Hmmm …
In the Esquire interview, he said “[I’m] not going [to deny it], because that’s flat out insulting to the gay community.” The statement mirrored a similar one he gave to The Advocate last year:
