If Prison Break Season 6 is made in the future, it will be without its former conduct character Michael Scofield (played by Wentworth Miller). In an Instagram post about homophobic comments he has received, the 48-year-old star also wrote, "On a related note... I'm out. Of PB. Officially.
"Not bec of static on social media (although that has centered the issue). I just don't want to play straight characters. Their stories have been told (and told).
"So. No more Michael. If you were a fan of the show, hoping for additional seasons... I understand this is disappointing. I'm sorry."
The actor came out in 2013, in between the end of Prison Break's first run in 2009 and its revival in 2017. Among the homosexual roles he has played since then was Leo Snart / Captain Freezing, the superhero character he played in The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.
Among those responding to Miller's new message was Dominic Purcell, who plays his brother Lincoln Burrows in the Fox drama. The actor wrote: "It was fun mate. What a ride it was. Fully support and understand your reasoning. Glad you contain made this decision for you[r] health and your truth. Keep the publish coming... love ya brother."

This month’s Men’s Fitness has a blurb about Prison Break actor Wentworth Miller, in which they ask him what he does to stay in shape.
Now, for those of you who watch the demonstrate , you are probably as confused as I am at why he would be the subject matter. For those who don’t see the show, just go to a pool and come across a 12 year old boy and you’ll see a pretty good example of his build.
I’ve spent the excel part of my 30’s trying everything I can to NOT to hold a build appreciate that, and Men’s Fitness targets th guy!
I just idea it was funny.

At the age of two, Dominic and his family moved from England to Sydney's Bondi and then moved to the Western Suburbs. After becoming a landscape gardener he soon tired of the profession and whilst watching the war movie Platoon decided to develop an actor. Due to his working class background acting seemed a very unlikely choice of career so he didn't pursue it until sometime later. He studied at The Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) and then later enrolled at the Western Australian Academy of Carrying out arts where he met his future wife Rebecca and studied with Hugh Jackman.
In 1997 Dominic scored a role in the TV series RAW FM and then landed a part in 'Mission Impossible 2' , which was filmed in Australia. He was soon spotted by a US talent scout and went off to LA.
