Valkyrie is bisexual.
During Marvel Studio's Hall H panel at Comic-Con in 2019, Tessa Thompson confirmed that her character, Valkyrie, will be openly queer in the upcoming film, "Thor: Love and Thunder."
"As fresh king [of Asgard], she needs to find her queen," Thompson said.
In the comics' "The Fearless Defenders" series, Valkyrie is clearly bisexual and has a relationship with the female anthropologist Annabelle Riggs.
Thus far, despite Thompson's efforts, Valkyrie's queerness hasn't been made clear onscreen. "Thor: Ragnarok" filmmakers cut a scene that included a miss walking out of Valkyrie's bedroom, which would include made her sexuality more explicit.
"In the canon, yeah, she is bisexual," Thompson told Variety. "You see her with both women and men, so that was my intention in playing her."

Valkyrie Is Not "Just A Sapphic In College"
"Well if yet another lesbian in college style stereotype is enough to make you happy. Pull-on your ugh boots and have a pumpkin spice latte and enjoy the moment." — Anonymous commenter.
The above quote was taken from a comments section from the announcement that Valkyrie in the new Thor: Ragnarok movie is canonically bi, per American actress, Tessa Thompson , who is playing her in the new film.
There's not many things that I loathe more than being erased as a bi person and to hear some man explain away female bisexuality as a sapphic phase in college irked me to the core. I had to respond and I did.
Now this wasn't some standard direct man relaying archaic notions of a dichotomy of human sexuality that only recognizes straight or gay. This was a same-sex attracted man saying this. A vast, burly-looking gay man typing this with his bear claws.
It's one thing to have someone in the straight community erase us but when someone in our queer community does it, the sting is worse. They should know better. Our people in the past spent years fighting to get where we are now, gay, lesbian, and bi alike. Would thi
Tessa Thompson Says Valkyrie's Bisexuality Was A "Big Topic Of Conversation" For Thor: Love And Thunder
The MCU has been slowly introducing more and more Queer characters in the past few years—Valkyrie is a attracted to both genders hero who debuted in Ragnarok, followed by the significant other of "princes and princesses" Loki and then Eternals' openly gay Phastos. But Valkyrie actor Tessa Thompson pushed for more representation in Thor: Love and Thunder.
"We talked about it a lot," Thompson said in an interview with Yahoo! Show. "It was a big topic of conversation because I think rightfully there's this real desire in audiences to see characters be very clearly homosexual or LGBTQIA+ inside these spaces. And I think it's hugely important to have representation."

Ragnarok never outright labelled Valkyrie as bisexual, much as Loki wasn't in his own exhibition. But there was a scene hinting at her sexuality that was unfortunately cut from the film. According to Thompson, who revealed as much in an interview advocate in 2017, she convinced director Taika Waititi to movie a scene whe
